Kicking it Old School

This week Ive been kicking it old school with the Pink Paislee Old School card kit available now in the catch the moments etsy shop. Just look at it.... doncha want it?

Its full of rich reds, mustard yellows and forest greens, Its slightly distressed and very prep school boarding house. The kit comes with the line of 6x6 papers, sparkly fibers, a felt badge, 2 pieces of flair and a pack of rubons.  I made 3 fun cards using this kit

A card to tuck in with a little package (this first card is also for the Some Odd Girl homemade embellishment challenge. It uses Love Letter Kaylee

I used the sparkly fiber that came with the kit and wound it around in a circle and then placed a heart on top.

A thank you card using Shopping Kaylee

.......and a card for that rockin kid in your life

Check out this awesome card kit from Catch the Moments.  Its a bargain at $6.25 (it would also make a rockin mini book) ;)

Below Zero

Check out this gorgeous frosty fun January kit from tidbitz in time. Its full of frosted flowers, sparkly sprays, pretty blue tulle, corrugated alphas and bling! .... and its even prettier in person

I really enjoyed this kit because it pushed me to tr out a few techniques I had never tried before. The Pink Paislee anthology papers are ink resist so you can experiment with different ways to add color to your designs. They can also be customized to fit the photos you are hoping to scrap. I used glimmer mists and alcohol inks to add color to my designs.

Im only going to show you a few of my designs because 2 of them are put back for the new  Tidbitz "bird is the word" challenge blog coming next month!

And finally a card. I used the MerMae image from Some Odd Girl, plus at least 2 different kinds of bling as per the current card challenge.  Bling used: Glimmer mist, stickles, frosted prima flower, prima pearls & crystals, prima glistening vines
