One year already?!

Its been a busy week or so since Ive blogged. Matt and
I celebrated our ONE year anniversary on the 22nd. We had a fabulous 2 days. Dinner at one of our favorite places (crab cakes, steaks, lotsa lotsa wine) The next afternoon we stopped at our favorite deli and then went to explore the great outdoors.(it was such a beautiful day). I took him up to the covered bridge I used to go to as a teen. Then we went up to Virginia Kendall park(ledges) and did a 2 mile trail. (I just found thatvirtual site and I'm in LOVE... go check them out)After all that exercise we sat on our fat booties at the movies and ate a big popcorn. hehehe

Later in the week Matt had to go out of town on business so I adjusted my work schedule so I could go with him. There wasn'tmuch for me to do at the hotel, but swim and play in the hot tub. Itwas very relaxing. I also found a hobby lobby!! Id never been to onebefore... so needless to say I spent at least an hour there wandering around and buying 50% off paper packs while Matt was working.

Now its business as usual again. Worked my booty off this weekend at work. On Sunday I got some scrapping done , and we hosted a drive by challenege at Caardvarks. Here is my little black and white baby. I just adore this poppy ink birdy cage stamp. I rushed home like a mad woman (from work at 3am) so I could get it. I normally dont get the "have to haves" but I couldnt help myself. Both the layout and the card are from the April Poppy Ink kit. I cant wait to see the new one tonight. :)

Have you seen?

May's beauitul Eye Candy Kit "Wanderlust"?

There are actually a few still available :) It has a cool journaling stamp.

It was so fun to work with. My favorite so far I think (Its so hard for me to pick favorites lol ) I got a beach layout and a wedding layout both out of this kit. This is one of mine.... My sweet little niece Maddy from camping a few years ago. I love this layout. She just looks so cute! I had fun making this one too. I used dimensional glaze and stickles on the flowers to add depth and sparkle. Im in love with stickles.

Go check see my other layouts and the awesome layouts the rest of the DT came up with.

My Coke problem....

Yes I have a problem. A bad coca cola problem. I love it. I will not drink Pepsi. Im one of those that if I order a Coke and you bring me a Pepsi, Im gonna be upset. There IS a difference

I had a case left from Matt's birthday party and I have been drinking 2 cans a day. Ugh! The calories Im wasting. I swear with all the coke and the chocolate Ive been eating this week Im going to gain 10 pounds. That will make me cranky.... Im supposed to try to lose 20 before we go to West Palm in July.

I had a great Easter despite the running around. Its amazing how much fun you can have with the simpliest things (like a package of stick on moustaches from my husband's easter basket AND how bad a plastic egg can hurt when you whip it across the room at someone.

On a scrappy note... its time to sign up for Happy Mail #2. I have been having a blast with the first round. If you like to send and recieve little bits of happiness check out the happy mail blog

Only in Ohio

Yesterday was beautiful. Bright sunny and 80 degrees. I sat on my balcony for awhile reading "Interview with a Vampire" in the warm sunshine. When I left work last night at 1am it was 62 degrees. No jacket required.

Today it is 29 and snowing. Is this some sorta belated April Fool's joke? I already took my coat to the cleaners. I put screens in some of the windows. Im ready for spring. It had it's chance to snow in Dec and January... it just chose not to.

I love the spring. It always feels fresh and new. The air smells fantastic and it always makes me feel spunky. Last week the sunshine made me go to target and buy things. New funky wedges, a couple pairs of flip flops and a few cute tops. Oh and a box of red hair dye.

It was a business decision. See.... I needed high lights. So I could
A. $7 to Dye red for a bit and $93 to buy scrapbook supplies or
B: Get highlights.

I'll be blonde again by summer... but this is fun for now ;)
