Survivor! week 2

Its another week and time for another Survivor challenge at tallyscrapper. I am blogging my layouts every week in an effort to make sure I make it to the finish.

This challenge this weeks comes from the lovely Laura Jean

So this season of Survivor has an interesting twist to it, its all about "Redemption Island"...I'm so excited to see how that first challenge on Redemption Island is going to go!!

SO....

My challenge to you this week is going to be all about "Redemption". Is their something in your past that you WISH you would have done differently, it could be as simple as that little white lie you told your hubby or as BIG as something you said or did to someone else. Well, I want to hear ALL about it....its time to REDEEM yourself!!!

*But here is the catch, go into a Member of Team Boston Rob and use a layout of theirs and scraplift it....you can use any colors, embellishments you want, just scraplift the overall design of it....and make sure to link us up to that member's layout too :)

******************

Here is my layout for week 2

and ummm the sticker that said TELL somehow fell off the layout before I scanned it. Im too tired to go back downstairs right now and hunt it down. LOL

Layout is about how I wish I could tell my younger self things that would have helped me. I was in a relationship with a man that basically killed my self esteem slowly over 4 years..... and I let him because I was in love. He was unhappy with himself and tried to pass it along to me.

I took my inspiration from the lovely Jael... I was in the mood for full on color and lets face it NOBODY does color like Jael.

I made a few little cards with the Boys will be Boys kit from Scraptastic Club and my Some Odd Girl stamps. :)

Late late late

At the moment Im cursing TEETH as I sit up at 3:30 am with my almost 16 month old watching Sponge Bob Square Pants. Normally she only watches Veggie Tales and PBS kids... but daddy and her cousins got her watching "bob bob" and well that is what she asked for.(and Im too tired to care)  She woke up screaming an hour ago just as I was finished watching Amelie (which I LOVED loved loved and had never seen) and was headed to bed. After a dose of tylenol she is feeling better but very hyper. Looks like no sleep anytime soon. Might as well blog :)

Today was a good day :) I had lots of cuddle/play time with Miss Aubrey and I had a massive cooking day  too.... made lots and lots of chicken (bought on sale) :) Started off making chicken stock. (froze most)  Then made my dh's favorite shredded chicken for dinner, chicken salad for lunches tomorrow, set aside chicken and stock for chicken pot pie tomorrow night, made chicken noodle soup for the baby and a small batch of chicken fried rice for the freezer. I wanted to make chocolate chip cookies, but that didnt happen. Wanted to make sure my kitchen was clean and shiny before bedtime.... and it is. I'll save the cookies to make for dh for valentine's day. Maybe I'll even use my cute little heart cookie sucker pan.

Today (well tomorrow really since I havent slept) is also my first official post/challenge as an Odd Girl. Hooray!

The first challenge is easy peasy and perfect for this time of year. All you have to do is to use at least 3 hearts on your card.

Here is my little 3 hearts card using Kiss a Prince Tia. I just adore this stamp! Tia is sweet as always and I love the expression on the froggie's face.

There is a pretty cool prize for this challenge.... a $25 gift certificate for Oozak.com That can buy you a lot of copics, inks and stamps! Hop on over to the ODDblog to play along :)

Im also submitting this card to:
Crafty Cardmakers -- heart
Crafty Purple Frog -- romance
Papertake Weekly-- have a heart
Penny Papercraft -- hearts a flutter

Boys will be Boys

This month I was asked to guest design for a fun little kit company called Scraptastic Club. Its a great site with adorable kits, and a great design team. Its an non-commitment club and the kits are a bargain at only $25 each. Some months they have 2 kits to choose from!

The February kit "Boys will be Boys" is filled with the new Echo Park Little Boy line and some of the coolest boy theme embellishments Ive ever seen. Studded robots, felt stars, puffy trucks, gears, toys and fun fun fun. If you have little boys you NEED this kit. Here it is.......

Rockin kit isnt it?

Here are a few layouts I created with the kit

I had a blast working with this kit. I rarely get to play with something so boyish and cute. It gave me a good excuse to scrap those pictures of my 3 darling nephews I had piling up. In other news... Im now in LOVE with echo park as this was my first time. *blush* Its so so cute. I now NEED the little girl line. BAD. :)
